The instructions have BMW recommended settings which are fine. I do think they settle a bit and I'm having my car chassis tuned next month where the heights will be corrected/adjusted.

My M tech said he played around with it until it looked right and then did various test drives then adjusted until he felt he'd got the looks and drive sorted.

He's a petrol head himself so I was happy for him to play around with it, mines very low at the front which can be a pain though.

To save us digging around in old threads - do you have any pictures?

Mine is 110mm max from the underside of the splitter and occasionally catches bumps (ie. on the occasion I driver over bumps!).

I tempted to have Center Gravity take it up a little - th rear can definitely afford to be higher.

I'll have to dig some out or take some measurements Mark, but I do ground the car I did it in a car park the other day and have grounded it out putting it on the drive, I think if I had a splitter on it would be toast by now.

I'll take some measurements from the bottom of the wheel (lip) to the wheel arch tomorrow and report back.

Perfect! All round if you can... will give me a decent reference point.

Cheers

C'mon.....

Hoping to get some measurements to compare.... perhaps hub to arch is good if you have the 666s?

Sorry! I'll do it today my driveway isn't flat so will measure when I pop into town today on a flat surface.

I have 427m, I've seen people measure from the lip of the wheel to the arch if that's the correct way?

I've measured the following on a flat surface.

Rear 597mm (bottom lip of rim to wheel arch) and Front 607mm, I think that measurement is the correct way as it eliminates the tyre side wall which is taller at the rear.

Bloody hell your car is LOW!

According to my measurements I have 630 approx at the front and 610 approx at the rear.

I say 'approx' as my heights are all over the place; front left is lower than front right (ok for driver weight) but the right rear is lower than the left rear!

So my drop is about 22mm front and 35mm rear )which is too much). Although I'm more concerned that the balance will be way out.

I appreciate you measuring....

Mark, did you measure from the bottom of the rim? I guess you did. I can't have measured mine correctly.

I did. The only other thing is to measure to the ground and then calculate he wheel/tyre differences but that could be difficult.

Hi Mark, CG will go to BMW recommended heights, then corner balance from there. The heights are in the instructions for the kit. On the first page of the massive thread in suspension section if you don’t have it.

Hi Mike,

I have the instructions but I'm tempted to ask CG to set it to how I want it to look rather than recommended - not that I know if there's a difference.

If I have time I may even have a play around with heights myself - although I've still not found time to play with CS damper settings!

Form over function, I’m horrified! Sure you may as well stick those spacers back on!

I'm pretty sure they'll be complimentary - a little higher

I need to sell the spacers before I'm tempted to refit!

Well I collected my car yesterday from the BMW dealer and it looks great but they have fitted the kit and put it on its lowest settings which is to low IMOP.

I have just adjusted the fronts but struggling to do the back as no room to get the spanner on. Anybody else had this problem? Also I have no instructions as did not get given any? Any info on rear adjustment appreciated.

It the adjustment collar at the top on your rears?

Cheers,

If you're adjusting the heights you'll have to do all the weighting stuff again and an alignment, I'd get them to do it.

I may well do that I think. Would all the alignment need doing if I adjusted the front equally and the rear?
