The typically lower weight and lower seating positions are great. Of those, i would pick cayman, 911 or vette |

If Budget >$100k, go straight to 911 Carrera S. 2013+
If Budget <$100k, and you need 4 doors -> Giulia QV If Budget <$100k and 2 doors OK -> Cayman S if Budget <$75k -> GT 350 Corvettes are Corvettes. They put up good numbers but they're not engaging to drive, and I say this as a former Z06 owner. The 7 speed manual is shit and the automatic transmission is an abomination. Jags are boats for old men. Audis are boats for young men who sell cell phones or real estate. |

UPDATE:
I went and drove a pre-owned ZCP M4 to see if I could discern a real difference...enough of a difference to get the same generation twice in a row. Honestly, I'm not sure. The car did feel a little more alive to me, the exhaust sounded better, the seats were more "huggy," and the ride was definitely rougher. It did make me think about getting another one, that's for sure. I think I'm between an M3 ZCP and the Alfa Giulia QV. These are my current pros and cons: Alfa: PROS:
CONS:
M3 ZCP: PROS:
CONS:
So, I'm kinda stuck....... |

I haven't driven the Alfa but to my eyes, it just doesn't have the road presence as the M3. It looks more ordinary to me. I wouldn't rule it out if it drives great, but given you are on the fence with both cars, I'd stay with the M3. If you are getting a little tired of driving the same car, then the Alfa.

It’s just software, I’m guessing updates will come in the future. I drove the QF, they were not as bad as reported by the early reviews, maybe the sw updates have already begun?

This is what I wrote elsewhere, which sums it up pretty well. “Test drove both the Alfa QF and an M3 CP, finally picked the M. It’s my answer to an M5 without the wallet emptied. But have highly resigned myself to the Alfa QV when it hits around 2020, as the QF was what I wanted to feel again but not till a 2 door version. Nice work Alfa, welcome back!” The reliability unknown and limited dealer network were the two things I couldn’t get past. The car was refreshingly light and fun to drive. Interior hands down went to my loaded F80 CP. But still hoping BMW owes around to more feel in their future productions. As prices go higher I’m getting priced out of Pcars!
