As in performance... well yah, it's a .3 sec difference during takeoff and you will feel it in highspeed turns but barely. It's not like the old E93 vert where the weight is a HUGE performance problem because of the low torque.
Got any pics of mods on the vert? I'd love to see some.

Very few people know about the fitted luggage as BMW does not market it very aggressively. Although it is marketed for the E93 it fits the F33 and F83 perfectly.

Here is a link to where it is on bmwusa.com

If you are not buying the M4 for it's handling (some ppl don't) ... then it doesn't matter.

On the flip side, with the VERT, you get wind in your hair and hear that exo note all that much clearer ... I'd consider the 428i VERT instead.
The roof alone does not weigh 200kg..
Most of the added weight comes from the need to strenghten the chassis to stop the car from flexing and twisting with the roof down + the extra gadgets in the trunk for the roof mechanism. So most of the weight gain is below the waist line of the car.

To the OP, I wouldn't decide whether or not to buy a convertible based on the looks with the top up.
The cab offers something completely different to the coupe so a small change in design with the top up compared to the coupe should not be a deciding factor imo.
