The reason I don't like the interior is that there is just too much rubber everywhere. The dash, area around the nav screen, door sills, etc are all just plastic/rubber. And then they put bits of alcantara on the dashboard that are just tacked on; looks like an afterthought and looks tacky to me. And as you mentioned the interface for the infotainment sucks. I think it is definitely a very good car at current new selling prices of $68-69k, but at the end I chose the M3 over it and would also take a S6 over it. Also, GSF has less rear legroom than the M3.

My comments on the gs and lexus interiors is based on our '15 gs350-
Lexus builds great cars, and the fit and finish are amazing. but there are a lot of issues with the interior that I think they need to address: there are at least 3 different leather grains in the same car- our dashboard leather is one type, the seat leather is another type, and the leather from other areas seem to be yet another type of grain. gauges and buttons seem lifted in some areas from the toyota parts bin. I recently sat in a sienna and I found myself looking at the same buttons and knobs it seems. certain areas of the car seem flimsy and cheap- the side view mirrors get all out of shape when i clean them with a towel. the doors seem to be artificially "heavy" - there seems to be friction to make the door seem heavy duty when in fact it is light.
