I see this car as a value right now as I know Porsche will be raising prices in March and it can't be long before every car manufacture follows suit on CAD pricing as the dollar is expected to stay low for some time. Also, MY2016 will be the last year of 4 year inclusive service. Starting in MY2017 there will only be three years and many other wear and tear parts like breaks and pads will no longer be covered. Buy it now or pay more in more ways then one next year.

PS. The Carbon package has been around for a while and likely hasn't gone up in price yet to reflect the sinking dollar. It's just a matter of time.
wear and tear items like brake pads aren't covered in Canada anyway. That's a US specific coverage...

But you can purchase it through the "Service Inclusive Plus" program in Canada

Ordered my F80 with Comp Pkg. March build I'm told and delivery likely early June, and maybe late May if I'm lucky.

IMO, pricing seemed appropriate given the extras. Hell, it's $5K just for the MPE or M Carbon trim. $2900 more didn't seem to be too big of a stretch. Plus, for resell later on, the Comp pkg will be sought after.

FYI, the CP does not come with the MPE, it is just a "sportier" version of the standard exhaust with black tips. The "carbon package" is much more comprehensive than the black grills and gills that come with the CP (carbon pack also includes CF diffuser, CF mirror caps, CF spoiler, CF front splitters, front lip, alcantara steering wheel and side sills for the M4). The carbon package actually offers quite good value.

At $7900 though, I feel we are getting totally ripped of in Canada for the CP .

Ordering the car without this package and the M performance exhaust is a waste. Order without them at your own peril.

I guess a lot of us are risk takers.

BM3 + Remus exhaust + springs or coilovers = faster, better sounding, and better looking M3/4 than your Comp Pack + MPE car . Not to mention the cash layout will be less.

If warranty is a concern, I'd save the $6,500 Comp pack cost over the negligible 19HP gain and less than attractive wheels.

All a matter of perspective.

Maybe. But I have not heard an aftermarket exhaust that beats the MPE on a ZCP car. Have a listen and compare yourself.

It's not about he HP increase for me. It's the things they have down to make the car perform better. And of course the 20s and nice seats don't hurt.

PS. I ordered the wheels with the ability to get the 19s if I didn't like them. Once you see them in person it is completely different and you can't go back. I have the OEM 19s on now for winter and they bore me by comparison.

But as you say, to each their own. Cheers!

That's the problem. For $6,500, it doesn't really perform better. Add in the $4,500 MPE (assuming you order it with the car), and you're $11k more into the car for questionable improved performance and a deeper, slightly louder exhaust. Maybe I count my pennies too much, but I personally don't see the value-add for the money there.

The wheels are subjective, so that's personal taste. I prefer the 437M's (and 19s in general due to the much better tire options), but I respect the opinion of those who say the 666's are the cat's meow.

And yes, I listened to a bunch of exhausts in person before pulling the trigger on the Remus. The MPE is great, but it's just exhaust from the secondary cats back. It was a mild upgrade over stock in terms of loudness and sound for a pretty intense price tag. World's better than stock, I'll give you that!

Anyway, we can go back and forth all day but my point is the car is absolutely worth ordering, and in my opinion, should be ordered without the Comp Pack. It's a waste to order it with the Comp Pack .

By MPE on ZCP do you mean the $4900 option on top of the $6500? So is it replacing the "upgraded" that comeshe as part of ZCP?

Yup. That's what I am saying. The ZCP makes it sound better due to programming and such. The upgraded exhaust isn't all that in the ZCP but it IS better than stock. But if you want the Ultimate Sound, where you can be heard blocks away, throw the MPE on from factory and there is nothing louder and more sinister then this combo. That is what I have on my car and I have no regrets.

Plus, since it's all OEM, I have complete factory warranty.

But this is my personal preference and the preference of a group of enthusiasts friends of mine with M3s and M2s. They all agree they have never heard a better sounding exhaust on an M car. It is louder than an Akra exhaust on an E92.

Obviously, this is not the cheapest option by far, but neither is an m car. Depends how extreme you want to get.

Something that is worth considering is the Ultimate package when looking at CP and MPE. IMO, it offers decent value for someone looking for a loaded car. You get the CP ($6500), MPE ($4900), Premium ($4500), Exec ($4500), Driver's ($1500), Carbon ($4900), Smartphone ($750), Metallic paint ($895) that is worth ~$27500 for $25000, that is a $2500 value (10%). If one opts for one of the offered individual paints, he gets that for free. Worth considering IMO.

If this was available for 2016 it would have been a no brainer for me.
