Congrats! I'm surprised how much I like the black both in the pictures and in person. I almost bought the same color combo today from my local dealer until they told me about their "market adjustment"...

Quite jealous right now, but I'll live vicariously through you Hope you're getting a good amount of seat time!

Thank you sir! Yeah i didnt think i'd like the black, its almost a very dark grey.

There was no mark up on mine, thankfully. i would have been pretty upset after waiting on that list for a year and change. Im trying to get all the seat time i can! Still learning the car!

Thanks bud!

Definitely worth a drive at the least, i def want to see a comparison of someone who daily's the F80 vs this thing. They're very similar in some cases. Lookin forward to some feedback there!

450mi so far! lol

It's very interesting car, but polarizing in other ways. I welcome it to the arena, but fear that longer term ownership disappointment will be in the cards like most Italian cars. Personally, I prefer the design of the Stelvio better than the Guilia, so I'm likely going to replace my F80 with the Alfa at lease end, providing the reviews are not too negative along the way. Congrat's and keep reporting feedback.

Update

So yesterday was a nice day...low 40's but sunny....
decided to do some highway runs to see how she pulled and handled at some speed...please note everything is in KM
DNA Switch: this is Alfa's version of a M button...and it is like Dr. Jekell & Mr. Hyde..
Setting A: this is the lower/economical setting for the car...very docile...not any different than that of the M. doesn't effect steering/braking suspension...it does put the car in a more gas saving mode...but she will still giddy-up when pressed.
Setting N; would equate to Normal driving...again steering, brakes, suspension not effected...exhaust note becomes pronounced on acceleration...car pulls harder, shifts are more pronounced when in manual, less so in full auto..
Setting D: would be dynamic?...here is where it gets interesting...
steering is the same as in all modes, but throttle response is more pronounced...suspension damping can be changed from firm to soft...the exhaust note is just silly when you accelerate...much more forceful than the F80 and deeper..the shifts in both manual or auto are quicker..
in full auto the car never feels out of gear in this mode....in manual it begs to be revv'd...as the car is not broken in yet (148 miles) I did not come anywhere close to redline...
Setting R: which is race comes with a warning in bold red letter...basically telling you this is for a race track..not a good idea on the street...
this is where the Giulia is lacking...when in Race all nanny-features are shut off...period...whereas with the M you can be more selective...
this does not bother me.as I have no intention of really using it on the street..but may be daunting to someone who does this in street driving..

the car accelerates effortlessly...in fact you can be unaware of your speed very easily...as I hit 100km quickly. the sharp steering inspires confidence in the car especially at speed...and the suspension set-up was well done...on some back roads the car never felt big or floaty...def. a very sure footed car...
If I can put some miles on her I will try and get to the NJMP event in April...
That's all for now..
Regards
M

may or may not be the case...I cannot attest to anything about Race Mode as I have not driven the car with that engaged...but will def. be more thorough as the miles roll up...

The suspension/assist modes bother me, it seems like there is little progression until you hit "race" then it all goes off and stiff.

The new Porsche system they use in the Panamera seems like the best, where not only is there the normal progression in settings but there is a user setting on the knob. Hasn't BMW been doing that too for a while since they got a little crazy with individual settings available in iDrive?

I may be interested in going to NJMP this year once again, what association do you plan on going with? I went there last year for the first time. I ran my F80 Comp on 275 square bridgestone potenza re-71R (on style 513 staggered) and ran a 1:19 with traffic. Im curious to go again this year and possibly have a little fun with the afla
