Thank you for your interest. The DCT flash will not effect the fuel economy of the vehicle. It can be done remotely no problem.

Your vehicle has to be a 2017 model to start with. Currently BMW isn't offering the activation code or through connected drive store, but I think they will in the future for the US market. Once available if your vehicle is properly equipped you can visit the connected drive store inside your iDrive pay for it & download it.

Short answer it can not be coded in.
