Just for the sake of accuracy they (panari) have only been making their own movements since 2005, and they do not put their own movements in Luminor cases (you'll find an ETA movement in that watch) prior to 2005 it's been all ETA which you find in everything from tag to Tissot. Actually it safe to say that if you are wearing a "luxury" watch that doesn't have an in house movement chances are (there are some exceptions) it's ETA. I.e. Basically all Tags with few acceptions for example.

It's not to say ETA movements are bad, but Panari is a very young company when it comes to actually making the movements.

There is a sad and unknown truth to the buying time pieces in that you could buy a $5000 watch and dsicover it has the same insides as a watch for $500. With the 3000-5000 range you have to really dig to find something that has an in houses movement - NOMOS Glaschutte comes to mind as probably the best value watch you can buy IMO.

Consider what many tags made today are - a case made in China, and ETA movement (not made by tag. Not to pick on tag because that practice is very common.
This is the way that the watch industry has worked since the very beginning - brands have purchased movements from specialized companies for centuries. There is no shame in buying proven technology and, in fact, some brands prefer to do things this way, so they know there are not going to be any problems.
There are several Swiss movement makers in Switzerland

Here is the problem, if you produce big series, but the cost of research, then development, and production, is really high, so you just can?t do if you are only creating unique pieces or limited series.?

Numerous brands have offered very interesting and original concepts, but what will happen once these pieces come back for repair? Years of research are needed to have a reliable movement. Now, certain collectors are only looking for horological feats and are not really preoccupied by the functioning of a timepiece. However, when you invest hundreds of thousands of francs, it seems to me that the least a brand can do is deliver a functioning watch and ensure that it can be repaired on the long-term, in other words, for a few generations.

So your point is irrelevant and pointless

Ironic. What the hell is a Panari? You talk about accuracy? I know for a fact mine has an in house made movement with more than 8 days of power reserve from a single wind.
Nice. I have a 510 also

JLC is pure class. Couple that with the fact you also chose a MT an it shows you have some very good taste.

Thank you! I do enjoy it very much, I imagine I would miss it if I traded it... but I keep looking at those JLC Master compressors
