Canadian tracking sucks and tracking on the Wallenius page returns no records. Beginning to think perhaps its on a different shipping company.
I'm a week 40 build. No record in W&W's site. There's a boat leaving for Halifax on Oct 4th and Oct 11th. If we're not in the 4th, we're most likely on the 11th.

Unfortunately, the website doesn't even update until at least a couple of days after the boat has departed.

this is great information! 5G84194 is a 30 jahre m3

Thanks for this info! Almost 100 more cars to go before mine is completed.. It's been excruciating to see them stuck at 5G84276 for two days now..

I was trying to figure out why and realized Oktoberfest runs until today LOL Here's to hoping my car isn't missing a few bolts when it completes production next week

Just keep checking in sequence. There were 40 cars ahead of me, but more than half of them were 30 year special editions. So even though my VIN was sequentially after those cars, my car was finished production before them.

I believe 30 year special edition and individual colour cars take longer to build. Just keep plugging away at the VIN tool and look at what colour the car is. If it's a non-standard colour, chances are it will take longer and yours can be finished before them.

And yes, it's annoying having to enter a reCaptcha for each lookup. I had to use two different sites because I kept on maxing out the number of connections. Lol. Try bimmer.work and BMWVIN.com.

I see the first of the US-bound 5G841xx are getting loaded. Hoping to find my Canadian bound VIN on the Tortuga.

Just found out that I got pushed to a week 43 completion date.

My production number is 8715562.

I feel like I should start a 42/43/44 week thread.

Also anxiously awaiting my '17 M3 ZCP. My VIN is 5G84257. Automated # still saying "completed production 9/30", but called Genius today and it's evidently at the port waiting for a ship.

Anyone else have a VIN in this range?

I'm in your range. Production completed 9/29/2016. I haven't been calling in so I have no idea what my status is. I have been checking the WWL site and it still says no record found. Good to hear that it's probably at the port awaiting shipment though.

Nice -- it also appears we have similar taste (MG/SO)

I flip flopped so many times on colour. First I ordered it as MG on black interior. Then I changed my mind to Silverstone on black interior. Then I switched back to MG on black. Finally, I switched to MG on SO interior. This was over a 3 week period.

My CA wanted to make sure that was my final decision before it went into status 150.

I hear you... I had a period of hesitation when I showed my 2 buddies the SO interior online and they appeared to throw up in their mouths a little. So came very close to changing to full black inside. But then she went 150 and the decision was made for me I think in retrospect I'm glad it stayed SO. Had black for last 2 interiors and I think time for something different!

So I called BMW Canada just to check on the status of the car. The CSR advised that it was "in-transit". So I did a Google search and it could mean in transit to the port (Bremerhaven) or in transit meaning on a ship. Given that your VIN number is after mine, and you're at the port, it could very well mean that our car is on a boat.

Looking at the WWL schedule, we would be on the Tortugas (assuming we're on that boat). The boat is currently in Sweden right now, with a drop off in Halifax on Oct 17th and a drop off in New York on Oct 19th. Now if we're not on the Tortugas, we will most likely be on the Tosca. That boat departs on Oct 11th.

Unfortunately, the WWL site still doesn't say shit and the 1-800 number doesn't have any more info. He told me to call back tomorrow to see if there is an update.

I'm going to do everything I can to ignore it over the next two weeks. I know the car is built, but I get all sorts of different info on where it is in the process (even the automated line says its in the body shop and will be finished 4 days ago).

I give a ton of credit for those who waited months on end for ind options, diff recalls, cfrp shortages. I'm chomping at the bit and losing sleep and I'm not very far at all in the process.

I went to WWL's tracking page, and put in sequential VINs starting with mine and going backward, and had to go all the way back to 84100 until something came up with a record. And this vehicle was loaded onto the Topeka yesterday.

The last one I saw in sequence that showed up on the WWL site was ending in "84190". This one was on the Tortugas. So assuming if that was the last car on the ship, then there's no reason why we wouldn't be on the next one.

The cargo ship can send around 6000 cars at a time.

Holy crap, nothing individual? That's a hell of a wait for standard options.

As far as I know, mine was finished on Saturday so we're in the same "boat", no pun intended.
