It is a thrill. A little difficult to see the braking points and turn in for the apex at times because they don't have the same lighting as when they host the 12 hrs, but still a great time.
Here is a pic of some nice exhaust bluing from the track driving. |

Thanks for sharing. With 500 miles on mine I plan to hit VIR in January or February. Chin does great events. Great pics and tips.

Merry Christmas to all following this post. Let's not take for granted what gifts we have been.given. Although I love my GTS, it pales in comparison to the friendships, relationships and experiences I have in my life, those on BP and elsewhere. Many blessings to all! Please don't take them for granted.

Nice video. I just know you Will experience a overall faster, better, more fun GTS when you get a stock bmw m lowdown tracksetting on the car.
No other changes, stock GTS but it Will drive so much better vs high street setting. Please report back If you get a chance to test that setting. Last edited by Captain Unknown GT4; 01-05-2017 at 06:40 AM.. |

Sebring; GTS Impressions
Will be taking my GTS to some HPDE events at Sebring later this fall and was wondering if anyone has any follow up experiences they could share regarding suspension set up since the last post? I had planned on starting out by just lowering the car to the track setting and leaving all else (rebound/compression) as from factory. Any new feedback from this track would be appreciated.

Ran my E90 w/ 2 way clubsports in street + track settings not unlike factory GTS settings. Too stiff. Found myself "skipping" and unsettled through important corners like 1 & 17. If it were me, I'd slacken the GTS dampers from factory some, then increase stiffness from there. GTS aero could help keep the car more planted through those fast corners w/ the bumps though. Definitely lower the car + full aero settings.

The track settings will be much better than the street. I don't think you will find it too stiff and bumpy. I was worried about it as well at Sebring given its bumpy nature. The car needs the stiffer track settings to better manage the cars weight. If you find it too stiff for your driving style, you can back off the compression some. Use full aero, the car needs it through Bishop's Bend. Keep a close eye on the tire temps, particularly the fronts. There's plenty posted on here about the recommended pressures and temps. I ran mine too high at Sebring originally and slightly blistered the fronts after three days. |
