I use it as my DD around Atlanta and am very happy with it. Came from a '15 mk7 GTI before this and, other than fuel economy, this has been as good as (if not better than) that was for DD.

Wonder if fuel economy is better in the "Civic" M3, probably not. I need to decide by this afternoon and hasn't been easy. Thanks for the reply, oh wait one more question... How's the CP seat comfort?? Heard mixed reviews.

Love it as a DD. Always intended it to be and honestly not sure why all the hate on the ride because it isn't all that bad. Granted, maybe roads here in Vancouver are better? The 20s don't make it that harsh either. I'm running in Sport, Sport, and SportPlus throttle, even in traffic.

Forget fuel economy because you'll forget all about it once driving it and hearing that exhaust!

The seats are great! I've been on long trips as well and didn't bother me. I gather the comfort level will be very dependent on your body type and shape.

Hard to say for me. I loved my f80 and it was a great toy and daily driver. I'll never forget euro delivery and PCD re delivery and the DEs in that car.

There were no issues or flaws with that car but I recently got a "friend deal" on modded 996 TT and couldn't pass up the chance to get one.

So far I'm am really liking the TT. It's raw and analog in way that only old sports car can be.

From a technical standpoint the f80 is better: quieter, technically more advanced (s55 + dct) and more useful (back seat, trunk, in cabin tech, soundproofing, etc) and doesn't give up much if any performance

From an emotional standpoint I love the flat 6 noises, the huge torque hit when the turbos come online and the road feel from everywhere. The presence on the road is also unmistakable. It barely edges out the f80 as the "best" car I've owned

No. That would have been my E39 M5. Best overall M car ever IMHO-- loved that thing.

Still not perfect, but there really isn't too much I would change. Would love to hear other members thoughts.
Yes, for my present needs.
And G2x M3 will be even better!

This is actually why I love the F80. It reminds me of the E39 M5 but of course with all the modern electronics and efficiencies. The power, weight, stance, size, passenger room, etc are all very similar! I compared these figures when I was researching my purchase.

Didn't realize how nice that was until I switched my f80 and current car has an aftermarket Sony single din head unit to get Bluetooth and USB and gets 19mpg highway

Yes, but I hope to own the best car yet. F8x cannot possibly be the best car. E90 was that car.

For me it is. I have owned faster cars, better handling cars, and more practical cars. The way the M3 combines all of those attributes, along with a healthy dose of luxury and technology however, really makes it tough to beat for how I use my car.

It's very capable and a very good daily driver, but not the best I've owned. The lack of traction off the line and unpredictable behaviors make it difficult for me to really enjoy it as much as I could.

Not even close. While it's a somewhat enjoyable car, (maybe 10-15% of the time overall) I cannot find much connection or emotion from it. There is a lot left to be desired from this and any current M division vehicle.

Best car ive owned forsure

Acura TL
Mini Cooper S
Audi A4
VW GTI
BMW 428 Gran Coupe
BMW M3!!!

I love the M3 awesome car as a daily driver and has more enough power to rip on regular roads.

One thing id say I miss is my Mini, ton of fun driving around corners and through small spaces.

I have to say I find this car an amazing package overall .

I sold my M4 for a 991 GTS and after 3 months sold it and bought a moonstone M4 comp

The car has great performance, technology, looks , pedigree , comfort , usability, affordability.

I feel the traction is not great but understand that it is part of the M experience and DNA

If you are not confident with it slipping about then it definitely is not the right car .

I however feel it keeps me on my toes and keeps things interesting

It is also docile enough for my wife to drive and never have any issues

Very hard package to beat as an overall position

The Porsche handled better but was very low and less comfortable in the cabin.

The technology was also behind the BMW and the performance was not as strong !

Honda Accord -> Honda Prelude -> Audi A4 -> Mercedes C300 -> Audi S4 -> BMW M3

Yeah. I would say it's the best car I've owned.

E46 2004 M3, trading it with 19k on the clock was a huge mistake.

Define "best"?

I love my M3, but equally loved the 2014 Expedition with the ECU integrated brake controller. That shit saved my ass towing the race car more than once in the rain. Is the Ford a better car? No. But in certain aspects, it is/was.

To that point, hard for me - just me guys, not you - to say if it's the best.

Given it's in the shop for that right pull fix, it just brings up a whole-lotta different questions!

No doubt that sound, speed and handling are great. Have to see how BMW deals with this repair before I can comment any further.

Fair enough?
