JB4 & Flash tune
Hi all,
I live in the U.K. and currently considering getting the JB4 for my M4 but seem a few posts saying about combining the 2. Is it possible? What sort of gains could I get? What would be the best combination? Would anyone recommend it or not doing it? Many Thanks |

It depends on your needs. The JB4 itself provides huge power gains and a lot of great features like CANflap, in dash boost gauge, boost by gear to improve traction, on the fly map switching, safety systems, etc. But adding in a conservative back end flash helps further improve toque and raise the fuel ceiling which is especially useful on E85 cars or with larger turbos. The trade off with a flash is the extra effort to pull the DME and the fact that it will always be visible via a specific OBDII scan. So making warranty claims can be trickier if the problem might have been related to the extra power.

Would it be possible to get more information on the JB4 to see if it's the one for me? In England the best fuel we have is Shell V Power Nitro + which is 99 Ron. I don't know how that equates to the fuel is the States but I also don't plan on running race fuel, methanol or E85 and other than map, what other settings, programmes, etc does the JB4 other? I've spoke to someone from Hex and they offer a few different things but they have 1 map but depends on what stage you install.

Quote:
99 RON is a bit better than 93 octane If your car is stock keep the JB4 on map 1 , if you are using downpipe switch to map 2 for more power
