Question for owners who got their GTS wrapped with xpel?

What did your installer do with the rear deck lid? Did he remove the spoiler from the deck lid to have clean finish?

Thanks in advance

I was told it had to be removed because I was thinking of wrapping it all to get frozen look. That made me rethink and just go for major wrap in regular gloss. That way I don't have to remove the factory installed wrap on the flairs too. I know your situation is different because you have frozen already. How to feel about the car. I am still trying to learn it. Very different from anything I have had before although I did try anything in this league

How does the Frozen Grey look with matte finish Xpel? Is it possible to only do the front end, or do I have to do the whole car to preserve the look?

I would do whole car with a experienced installer who knows how to wrap and hide edges. The xpel stealth is perfect and doesn't change look at all

Just picked up the car this morning with the front end, hood, front fenders, rockers, and A pillar done. Invisible! $1500, and now ready for the track!

That is an incredible price for the Xpel product........It cost more than double out here in NorCal from top shops.
My whole car except the wing cost $9k and change, for example .........
Could probably repaint the whole car for that, I know some are saying.

And this is from the top Xpel shop in Richmond. Excellent work - they've done 5 previous cars for me over the past 6-8 years. NoCal is a pricy place to hang out.

What is the next best way to protect paint in the front part of the car (bumper, hood). Just freaked out about installer cutting into paint (see other posts)...
Not too worried about roof, doors, trunk and rear bumper.

Xpel is the way to go, use a reputable installer and you'll be just fine.

Unfortunately, for those that have Matte finishes, Ceramic Pro isn't an option if you want your Ceramic Pro warrantied.

I wouldn't worry with a reputable installer. The front bumper is still an M4 bumper and those patterns are really good patterns. The hood would be a bulk piece, so they should not be cutting there.

Here is the order of protection from least to greatest.

1. Wax and or Sealant - Look great, protects for a little while, but wears off quickly

2. Professional paint coating - Looks incredible, last for a very long time. Makes maintenance easier.

3. Film - Looks great, impact and scratch resistant. Bird bomb resistant. easily replaced

4. Pro Coating over film - The ultimate in paint protection. nothing thicker or easier to maintain.

Thanks for the input everyone. Looks like film is the way to go for me. Will have to find out who does it best in the chicago area. Will stick with front only.
