Wow
Was down at local dealership, Peter Pan, looking to order M4 and they just got a M4 GTS in...WOW what an awesome looking car. My sales guy, Adam, was saying they only made around 100 for US...true? Either way. What a great car...all of you that have one..I have GTS envy...

I can also confirm that the cars used (the ones Ive driven) at BMW driving acadeny near Munich seems to have "production" vin. They have hundreds if not close to a thousand cars sitting there at any given time. So yeah, good for you that you found out 803 was produced with "production" vins. But you need to find solid evidence of BMW of "actually" selling over 700 GTS to customers. Because just "maybe" not all of them will go to an actual customer. |

The guys with the correct access can see every dealerships each car went to. Each of the 405 North American cars tested went to a regular dealership. They dont have time to sit around and test each one. There also is no reason to. Never said some didnt go to BMW divisions. It was actually a BMW insider that let it out that they were building more customer cars than originally stated. Later statements were worded differently

Are you sure there are only 2 m4 gts safety car out there? Have you gone up close to 1 of them and inspect the vin for yourself? Maybe you should post the break down of which dealers the 405 cars went to too. Also, where did I say they were testing all 405 North american cars? Did you know that the first ever M4 GTS safety car is not actually painted white? Do you happen to know what the actual paint color it was when it rolled off the production line? The M4 DTM edition will not be coming to the US and the upcoming M4 CS will position itself between ZCP and GTS. I doubt very much the M4 CS will be as limited as the gts and as extreme or as fast. No M4 CSL planned.

I know the DTM edition wont be coming to NA the day it was launched. I also agree that the CS will not be as limited as the GTS. I was also told that there was never a M4 CSL planned and that the M4 GTS would be the top of the line for the F8x platform. |

I don't believe this is an actual "Safety Car", but rather a GTS prototype/test-mule with Safety Car decals as camo.
Further, I also don't believe the first Safety Car (a black one) that featured water injection was labeled as a GTS, it was simply a factory modified M4 (many GTS features are missing from that car).

[QUOTE=M4_GTS;21142977]Not sure why you quoted me with your post.

Totally agree with you. CS will also be great for enjoying with friends or kids. Tempting even though I just bought the gts for track. Wife would kill me if I get another car though... |
