Front lip help...
So I'm finally ordering my first M next week and have started shopping for some front lips. I really want to go with this which I think is the BMW Mperformance front lip. My question... is this one piece or do you have to buy this as two pieces (cf splitters and cf lip)
I can't seem to find the whole thing in CF for the M4.

I bought the true 2 piece set but I think you can get exactly what you are looking for from RW for less then what I paid for both separately haha. (Second pic is from RW and what I think you are asking for)
(Pic for attention)

Actually 3pcs, 2 splitters and 1 lip....just say'n
I think the true BMW M Performance set up is now available in all CF...it used to be CF splitters and ABS lip which holds up better to impacts and scraping. The white car has RW which is what i have Last edited by horsepower_and_hounds; 02-13-2024 at 02:29 PM.. |

True and I was a bit concerned about how it just screwed up into the plastic in the center and all the comments about others having it pull out and rip off so i made backing plated for both sides and sandwiched the plastic.

Nice idea. I used two 1/4" lag bolts with the top lined with double stick tape. If that breaks loose I would be surprised but will steal your idea.

For the front lip I'd give it an 8 out of 10 on fitment only because you do have to drill and you do have to trim some parts. I filed some edges down to fit perfect because I am anal about that stuff. To be fair even the OEM M lips are not a 10. Finish of RW is a 10 and quality is a 10. So many of the ebay parts are thin molded plastic with a layer of CF over it and they are very flimsy. The RW are solid CF. The rear diffuser and rear spoiler are a 10 across the board from RW. Here are some pics of the lip. Just installed it Monday night.
Well every time I go to upload a pic it shuts the browser down so I will try later. |
