Original Post:

Almost 1 month has passed since we took delivery of our F80 M3 and have enjoyed every minute of her!

We have been taking a few pics along the way but havent had a second to start the build thread so here we are posting up some pics.

Loving every minute and excited to bring some great performance mods to the community.

We picked up the M3 from Encinitas BMW from Ash Kashani who by the way was great to deal with. All paperwork via email/fax and the salesman himself delivered the car up to our warehouse. Great service! Highly recommended.

Some stock photos:

The H&R springs ride quite well and get rid of the pesky wheel gap. The car actually is very predictable with the springs installed. There is really no compromise here.

Balance is unaffected as the car lowered precisely 1" front and rear to keep the weight distribution equal.

The springs are amazingly lightweight! They are made of a special 54SiCr6 spring steel that provides the spring with unparalleled tensile strength and resiliency putting the H&R springs ahead of the others in terms of weight and durability.

Some installation pics of the suspension:

LOL thats totally what I thought initially as well but how can you lower the front 1" and not the rear 1" and still keep the amazing weight distribution.

Unfortunately, the fender in the rear is cut low and the front is cut big n round. Fortunately, the car is still raked fwd. I know where you are coming from though! Cant wait for some coilovers to hit the market. I will be first in line!!!

Perhaps some spacers tomorrow and post up some more pics.

First set of wheels should be on the car on Monday..............

How this springs affect on the work of adaptive suspension? I don't want to kill the balance of the car that people like Timo Glock and Bruno Spengler were working on calibrating this suspension.
I used Eibach pro-kit on my e90 335i m-suspension and I wasn't really satisfy with it. KW EDC was good on my 1m, but I don't want to put the coilovers instead on adaptive suspension, because I like the adjustability with the button inside.
The use of the car will be DD plus track days. Forged Rays 19 wheels with CUP2 tires.
Tnx.

its absolutely going to kill the balance. springs only will always kill the balance, regardless of what car they are on. specifically lowering 1 inch.

-reduces suspension travel aka makes shocks work well outside of range. eating up half your travel at static height (typically 2-2.5 inches of damper travel before bottoming out)
-spring rates not appropriately matched to dampers
-ruins factory suspension geometry by lowering car this much
