Change shift knob
I tried the M Performance knob but it was too light and rough textured so I went with an aftermarket MOMO bushed Aluminum knob.
To separate the boot from the knob, sinply bend the protruding tab and snap the two plastic connectors. It leaves the black ring attached to the boot. I then used a zip tie to hold the boot up, and attached the MOMO knob with a insert and the three tap screws. I like it better but may go with a heavier leather covered slightly smaller ball in the future, and change to a different boot gaiter when they are offered for sale.
