I want to retain the stock exhaust sound... which exhaust?
I will be picking up an '05 M3 Competition Pkg this Saturday and after watching a Edmunds.com video of one, I think I want to retain some of the rasp. The sound of the stock exhaust is Ferarri-like in the upper rpm's. However, I want to get an aftermarket exhaust because I want bigger tips and the extra performance gain. Which exhaust will retain some of the exotic rasp sound but not make it sound too tinny?
Thanks |

This is the exhaust that I have on my E46 M3, it still retains some of the rasp and it is awesome and LOUD! Borla

i just got the RE Diablo with their X-Pipe...sounds near perfect to me. I'd like it to be a bit louder but it def keeps the raspy sound for the most part.

I have the full magnaflow, it sounds really good but not loud...nothing is going to sound stock unless you chop the tips off and weld new ones on the stock exhaust.

The Remus exhuast produces the same tone as a factory exhaust but is louder. It might worth consideration.

Remus offers both a Sports Label System which is a bit quieter or the louder U.S. Sound/Race System so you have a choice! Give me a shout and i would be happy to help you out with it!
