ipod connection for e92

i'm thinking of getting a Dension gateway 300 for my E92 can any one tell me if it will be compatable? also how is it connected to stereo, i have wiring for a cd changer in the boot can that be used?

Why? Why dont you just get the BMW OEM ipod interface.

where can i get one from? i dont have the NAV just a professional stereo.

also do you get full controll of your ipod from it?

Yes, it will work with the pro-radio. You will get full control and see artist, track info on the display. Just ask you BMW dealer about it. You'll need to remove the CD changer if you are currently using one.

can this be fitted by anyone? i have read somewhere that some need special activation by the dearlership? is this the case.

Correct. The car would need to be coded after the parts have being put in. I would recommend you get it all taken care of at your dealer.
