Oil cap

Hi guys,

I've been looking for a leak in my car as I have a sweet smell coming into the cabin. However, when I removed the engine cover I also cleaned the slight oil around the oil cap and the external seal. I took it for a drive a bit later and looked at the oil cap to find a little oil forming on the external seal again.

The oil cap was closed properly - am I right in thinking this may be a knackered oil cap seal (and not the external one).

I've also always noticed that the oil cap is very tight to get off and needs quite a bit of force to get it off - is this normal?
