How many times have you changed your order?

Hi All,
Just wondering, how many times have you changed your E90 order? Previous experiences with other "ordered" cars would also be interesting.

So far I've had three changes.
1. Pick-up in Munich instead of a Stateside delivery (using Military Sales). My schedule now permits me to drive it in Europe for two weeks.
2. SG to Titanium Silver. Saw those TiAg pictures and went to a showroom to see it in person. Took an hour admiring the car and then changed my order.
3. Added Xenons. Those angel eyes got me.

Thanks folks, reading this forum helped me refine my baby.

Ciao,
Niko

I changed from Jet Black 325 to Sparkling Graphite 325 to Sparkling Graphite 330. I think my SA dreaded seeing me coming. My car is on the boat and will be ashore on April 28!

Got rid of i-Drive and got Type 162 wheels. Then changed to 161 wheels, priced the 199's, fainted , and went back with the 162's...

I changed from SG 325i (for too long time to wait for, it will arrive HK two months later than 330i) to SG 330i to Arctic 330i. When the first time (Mar) I ordered the SG, I never saw the Arctic. However, once a demo in Arctic arrived showroom in last week, I immediatley changed my decision and called the salesman for amendment. Arctic is the greatest...

Right on . I was totally unimpressed with the Arctic color chip and on-line photos, but when I saw the real thing on a dealer demo this week I was REALLY impressed! The color is gorgeous. It literally changes color with lighting variations. My own ,perhaps warped, opinion is that the car looks better in light colors. The lines are far more defined and surprisingly Arctic is really a pretty light color in the sunlight. I ordered a 330i in Alpine white (I've had 5 silver Bimmers and am getting tired of it) but probably would have ordered Arctic had I seen the car back in Feb.

Great choice - Congratulations!!

Changed from E87 130i to E90 330i.

Salesman said: Saphirschwarz(black) is the colour.
I said: No Sparkling Graphite is.

Then we had a fight.

J/K

Cheers,
Robin

I agree with Jack, light color may be more suitable to E90.
SG is perfect but I wondered it just shows excellent in showroom, video chip or brochure only....
I saw the preprodcution SG b4, the color is strange, feeling is totally different from what my impression from Video/ paper.
I am afraid that if anyone likes the SG because of the introduction by Magazine/video/brochure, he may be disappointed.
Also, dark color is not long lasting and difficult to maintain....

Garage List
1. Changed exterior from Black to Silver
2. Changed exterior from Silver to SG. If I had the money I would buy two cars, one Silver and another SG.
3. Changed Walnut wood to Aluminium
4. Changed Terra to Black, and then back to Terra again. I suspect I might go back to Black again next week, after seeing the cars in person..
5. Added Voice Control
6. Removed Voice control, and put Comfort Access instead.

Last I heard it arrived in port (NY) on 4/28. Haven't heard since. My CA is supposed to call me Tues. or Wed. to give me more details. He said he thought I'd have the car no later than next Monday. Hoping for this week, but I don't know how fast the car can move from port to VPC in NJ then 200 miles south to MD.

Wow, looks like the majority of us (including me) have all changed from dark colors to light colors! I changed from black to silver 325. Still have SP, folding rear seats, and HIDs. :rocks:

Hi Steward, how did you manage to change color of your order.
I called my sales rep. today at BMW HK and wanted to change my order from SG to TiS. It seems impossible. I will know for sure tmrw, but I guess it's going to be too late for a change.
My car is due for manufacturing in may... I now found lighter colors
suit the car better. Looks sharper.
The sales rep. said he could'nt change due to the options I choosed (sport seats, 18" wheels and electrical sunshade). I asked him to try
harder !!!.... Let's see....

Hi, Olivier, when I made the order, I didn't have any option to choose as it's included in the 1st (March) Production log, so, it's easy for me to move to another color with the same config.
PS: I found people prefer lighter colors in Asia....

Well i just officially canceled my BMW order that comes in next week. But i reordered one ED so that I can save $7300. Getting $750 over invoice and Im using a different tax rate (3% instead of 8.25%) because by the time i receive the car in the states, I will have already moved to North Carolina. I would love to own this car next week, but for $7300 less (and im getting heated seats free) there is no way i would not wait only 3 more months.

Matt

I changed my order twice.

Once to upgrade the Xenons to adaptive and add sports suspension and the final change was to upgrade the wheels to 162s, add bluetooth and remove sports suspension.

I was worried that 162s when combined with sports suspension might be a little harsh as a daily driver.

How soon after you guys place your order did you make changes?
I tried to add BMW Assist one week after but was told it was too late.
I placed order 14 May for June Manufactor.
