not that the next m3 looks bad, but it could look much much much much better. car looks cool, but it doesn't give the presence that the current m3 has.

Obviously scott was smoking some good shit that day when he said that BMW learned from 5 GT's design mistakes. If it looks anything like that rendering it's going to sell in the low teens.

I actually really like the M3 render however not feeling the hatchback. I think that is a mistake, but we will just have to wait and see

Not a fan of the headlight sculpting (5GT), but the body and rear would be awesome if the F30 went this way. Yea its very F10, but in this case it just really works.. should be interesting to see where this car goes

![]() I don't read german... but please someone tell me that the text isn't calling that a GT coupe... (because it looks like a 3 series coupe to me). (If so, I think BMW has officially gone insane with the model lineup.) In general : Tooooooooooo many options is like no options. Wall-of-text-effect (The TLDR of automobiles). I'd take one look at the lot, see 50 models that are hard to tell apart, and turn around. I really hope the current lineup isn't as similar as the renderings show... -scheherazade Last edited by scheherazade; 12-06-2010 at 12:07 PM. |

But yea, the words underneath do mention a coming GT variant, along with the fact that Scott keeps mentioning a 3GT it sounds like its something to expect. There is the caveat that they (scott) keeps signaling the 3 series coupe will be different from the 5GT in that it will be alot more sporty. Seems to actually make alot of sense to me; instead of making a 3Series wagon, they will just make a 3-Series GT, so think of a much more sporty sport-wagon. Whats wrong with that?

Although I like the current lineup I think that the M badge is loosing the Persona it used to carry. Whatever happened to just doing SELECT cars and doing them better than everyone else? I just hope that they don't fall by the wayside and become like AMG with the "tacked on" bodykit look and where they'll stick a big engine in everything and slap a badge on the back. It seems that soon we'll even have a M model to rival that hideous R63. They are too busy trying to make the Ms more out there for the average person who doesn't know what the hell it is or what it stands for. While we the enthusiasts are getting screwed over.

Agreed. I have a difficult enough time now quickly differentiating the new 5 and 7 series I see driving around. At least the previous 5 series had very unique and nice looking tail lights that none of the others had. Now they just all look the same - except in different sizes. I am going to be disappointed if the 3 series ends up the same. I am already not very fond of the new 5 series design, mainly the front end and hood.

I hate the reverse rake roofline on the f3x,looks like the one on the new Buick.
![]() They should've copied the G-TR's reverse rake roofline. I miss Bangle,His designs were at least original... ![]()

the m3 looks okay, but the raised front fascia on a short bodied car makes it look like a pig. they'll probably make the nose look longer than it is to counteract the swine look... hopefully.

Damn I'm hoping it doesn't look all the same as the other cars. Now I'm probably thinking in keeping my e92 m3.
