I'm liking what I'm seeing! The car looks mean and I love those wide fenders.
However, by the looks of it, rock chipping on the front of rear fender flares will be an issue. X5M has the same issue with its fender flares and huge wheels, only solved by ugly mudflaps or 3M film that prolly needs yearly replacement :/

The car sounds like ass...I would keep my E92 M3 just for the sound of it vs. this thing. I think the S54 M3 sounded better.

Just a by-product of forced induction. Just like the N54 cars in stock form go into limp after a few laps.

Worried about FI in the M3. Normanlly aspirated cars just seem to take hard laps much much better.

Yeah, the loud duck "QUACK" exhaust note toward the end of the video sounds really weak. I guess this can be forgiven if the car weighs 3500lbs or less and can manage its heat on the track. I'm a bit skeptical though.

That M5 test was conducted at an altitude of over 9000 ft. At that altitude there isn't enough air mass to properly cool the oil. Any turbo car pushed to the limits at that altitude would limp.

I think it will as well just for the fact of the FI, it may not be a great amount but I think it will weigh in more as well. Now thats my opinion, you are the one getting all defensive just because Malek expressed something a lot of people are worried about.

If it turns out to be lighter..great, more power to BMW. The deal breaker for me is the fact it will be FI. I see myself probably back into a 911 again or keeping my E92.

However, if it comes in at just a tad over the E90 but with over 50hp more it will still be a screamer.

Damn... I don't think I've ever had this much anticipation for ANY car. I check this board daily just for this type of news. I'm already thinking how I want to configure this baby. Two things I know are definite...European delivery and Individual color (not sure which one yet).

According to my Infos the new F80 M3 would be no heavier than the new F30 335i ... this meen an weight of ~1500kg/3300lbs (DIN).

This is right. The M3/M4 F8X weight target is the one of the M3 E46, 1570 kg (EU).
