F80 M3 sedan?
Why did BMW finally decide to go with a sedan body for the next M3. This is great news for me but let's not forget that they said before they won't make another M3 sedan due to poor sales.
Did they finally realize that the M3's category is full of sedans? Is it because the coupe will be called the M4 and they want to preserve the M3 name, therefore making a sedan version? Do you think there will always be a sedan for the M3? Last edited by Straight6_3er; 02-21-2012 at 07:54 AM. |

I think BMW realized that despite the fact that the sedan sells less than the coupe, there is still a strong market for a small- to mid-sized performance sedan as evidenced by the RS4, C63, IS-F, and CTS-V.
On a related note, I've been hearing rumblings that the F82 coupe will retain the M3 moniker even if the non-M F32 coupe will be called the 4-series. Who knows.

I'm glad they did. They cover all areas with the Coupe, sedan, and Convertible. It's a nice selection, where as the last generation C63 AMG only had the sedan. And now the addition of a coupe, but no convertible. I plan on getting the sedan for the next M3.

If there is a doubt as to the future performance of the M3, then he should just watch this video only once.
There, a standard-F30 335i accelerates from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds (96.56 km / h) |
