Is there any consensus yet as to what's under the hood of the new m3? I've heard n54 (or some variant) with up to 3 turbos. Have heard straight 6 with turbo(s). Seems like it will be 6 cylinders and definitely be turbo charged.

No consensus yet. Most speculation revolves around a bespoke 3.3L I6 or a 3.3L V6 derivative of the S63tu, with either two or three turbos.

At the 2min marker, I kept thinking that if this was in America (Speed aside), the little black car/wagon would have either not moved or slowed down just to be a d!ck.

If BMW follows the same idea in how they derived the S65 from the V10, then we can only assume that since the new M5 engine is a 4.8 TT, then the new 6 cylinder for the M3 will be a 3.6 TT.

I bet the new M3 will make around 400 bhp and 400 lbs/ft tq or 540 nm. It will def be lighter than the old one though.
