I've asked around dealers in Orange County... haven't been able to get below MSRP (even from a long time salesman I've dealt with). The pent up demand is too high right now. Give it a few months and then maybe it'll be opssible to get under MSRP.
Which dealers have you asked btw?

Just have to outlast the initial furor over the car (which there surely is/will be). I believe BMW is about to (or already has) sold their entire May E90 production allotment.
