Exclamation Detroit 2014: BMW M4 F82 in Black Sapphire and Austin Yellow - World Debut

BIMMERPOST NEWS
Detroit 2014: BMW M4 F82 in Black Sapphire and Austin Yellow - World Premier
106
COMMENTS

We've shown you the Yas Marina Blue F80 M3 making its world debut here at the Detroit Show, now have a look at the F82 M4 in Black Sapphire Metallic and Austin Yellow Metallic. If forced to pick, my choice would be the M4 in Black Sapphire over the Austin Yellow; it looks sinister!

As with the M3, both M4s wear the optional M Carbon Ceramic Brakes and the beautiful double-bubble carbon fiber roof.

Deliveries will also begin in June, and pricing will be announced at a later time.

For all official details/specs of the F80 M3 see: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=923444

Prefer the yellow....hate those wheels. Austin Yellow is actually a fantastic color (..and brings back my Phoenix Yellow nostalgia).

The interior lighting makes the Austin Yellow look much less obnoxious.

didn't reintroduce the vent rear windows like the e36/e46 had, and got rid of the stupid "seatbelt-hander" the e92 had.

can any explain all these console buttons?
1. Traction Control Disable
2. HUD???
3. Dynamic Damper Control Adjustment
4. Electric steering weight???
5. Front parking camera
6. Parking Assist

Looks great in black. Also really like the CSL treatment on the rear in these pics. I bet the M4 will look a lot better in person, low and wide.

Traction control/DSC, throttle, suspension, steering, (unknown), and back-up camera/PDC. Maybe they separated the camera and the PDC buttons on the new ///M cars. On the F-Series it's all one button (..the last button in the row), but it looks like there is a separate camera button on the new ///M.

Looks good in black, still thinking the F80 looks the best.

I don't think people understand just how wide this car is. Just look at those rear 3/4 shots....

Deciding between the M3 and M4 is going to be the toughest decision yet.

Looks great except the hoodline, longish rear quarter but the wheel arch flares makes it look better than the F30.
Wonder if the mirror shape is going to add to the wind noise with that little piece sticking out at the top inner of the mirror. Looks like it is going to create some wind noise.

Does the cf roof no longer have the ///M tri-colored stripes running down the roofline? Was that only a concept feature?
