hmmmmm comparison feels very different than it was for e92 vs f82. f83 seems like it looks much better exterior, but interior somehow e93 looks better? (it was the opposite for e92 vs f82 for me) I guess the color combination really does the trick.

I still prefer the design of e92 over f82, but completely opposite for e93 vs f83. I think one of the reasons the f83 looks better than e93 with the top up is that bmw made the horrendous trunk line less obvious. Great job BMW.

Just my honest opinion: That roof looks exactly the same as the E93 M3, thus looking disproportionate on top of a wider M4 body :

I wish the body crease was lower towards the front of the F8x.

It is with the E9x and along with the hood shape, gives a better raked appearance which I love. The F82/3 looks very flat to me because of this. But still a beautiful machine. The front is killer.

When the e9x came out I couldn't believe how much bigger it was vs the e46. Now it looks downright dainty compared to the f8x

That's likely why they chose matte black for the launch color - it doesn't make the seams contrast as much as the white did.

Is it me or are the rear headrests on the M4 hideous? Everything else looks good - more muscular and dynamic than the E93 which really looks dated now.

Wow the M4 really makes the E93 look outdated. It looks better from every angle and those seats are amazing.

Not that much longer, but a lot wider. I wonder if that gets it into the next larger size class for US EPA efficiency standards. Not light at almost 4,000 lbs.

The only thing I dislike about the F83 ///M4 is the rear top bumper. The edges are overly rounded to me when you look from the side view and the rear view IMO.

HUGE improvement in my opinion.

The weight of the manual is now almost acceptable also.

I love it, I still like the E93 a lot, however I do feel the evolution is more from the E46 to the F8X than to the E9X, I've always felt that Bangle was too much trying to change what was normal that he created a hole in BMW design, just a simple example are the "L" tail lights in the E9X being flipped upside down, the scoops that make the "mouth" look sad or depressed instead of happy or excited, there are so many design cues in the E9X that make it so unBMW IMO that the F8X and F3X always seems to me like what should've been the evolution of the E46. This F83 is stunning, I'd like to see it next to an E46 vert.

I would like to see how the m4 coupe and convertible compare side by side. I think the convertible with its roof in place is better looking than the coupe.
