Thoughts on Monaco Blue
I just spent a few hours yesterday washing the family cars and cleaning up the 3 series. When I get the car clean I really see the beauty of Monaco -- it just looks so special. But, for the 90% of the time that the car is cleanISH rather than really clean, it's a pretty staid color. If I could effortlessly keep the car immaculately clean I would call this a perfect color.
But, the next one I buy isn't going to be Monaco. It's not enough of an extrovert's color. Next time I'm getting red or Montego. Damn the speeding tickets, I want something a bit more playful. |

My previous car was a monaco blue and it is a nice color but pita to keep clean. After owning that car I vowed to never own another dark color car ever again, thus my current car is montego.

I love my Monaco Blue 325, but it is always dirty. Especially here in the desert. |

My first BMW was Monaco Blue. Second was Montego Blue. Both are beautiful colors but the Montego certainly is easier to keep clean.

It was a tough choice for me between Monaco Blue and Space Grey, but I'm very happy with my Monaco.

I'm sure Monaco will be a PITA to keep clean, but my current black is black, and I realized I am fine with that.

Monaco is awesome, but still not as difficult to keep really clean as JB or SBM. Close though.

+1, it came down to monaco and space grey for me too. I decided to go with the darker color.

I had a 2006 monaco blue 330i and I will tell you that it is one of the most beautiful colors when clean. If you don't mind spending the time cleaning it, then its worth the hassle. I gave that car up and got an alpine white 335i. Darker cars are such a PITA! BUT when freshly detailed can turn heads.

My last E90 was Monaco. I really wanted Barbarra(sp?) Red, but had to settle for Jet Black. If you want a rare and nice looking color go for the Barbarra(sp?) red.

When shopping, AW was #1 and Monaco was #2.

When my dad had a 5 series in Tasman green, he said that it was very hard to keep clean.
The dirt on my space grey is really unnoticable. It can be really dirty but you cant really tell from far away. Sometimes when I'm washing my car, I cant tell whether i missed a spot or what unil that section of the car dries.
