Angry Dealership Stole My Tire Pressure Monitors

I went in to get my tires replaced because of excessive road noise and then get home and start cleaning my wheels and those rectangular things are gone! There is a black sticky thing in its place. Those are the tire pressure monitors right? either way they are something important i'm sure and thehy took them off and gave the car back!:mad::mad:

Edit: nvm. I need to go to the dealership today again anyways to get the shifter replaced...they said it was in. Dont worry though , i am pretty sure its that thing that i put my foot on near the floor.

rectangular things on wheels? you mean wheel weights?

They probably rebalanced the wheels, you can't see the TPMS sensors from outside, they're in the tire/wheel - part of the tire valve assemby.

+1 the OP is probably referring to wheel weights.

That means they just moved them around or removed them to cure the imbalance, probably to cure the road noise...no worries

They probably did a better job than the original balancer - and put the weights on the inside edge of the wheel rim

The tire pressure sensors are *inside* the wheel (well, inside the area with the air in it in your tire) - so you won't see them. Your car will bitch about the sensors not being there if they're gone.

you should be able to tell the new tires. Sometimes you can tell the difference by smell
