E90 Common issues??

Uggg i have to take my car to the dealership again!! lol everytime i go their on of the drivers who brings the service cars in and out said, this is your new home lmao. but anyways now i have more issues....

My driver door is not unlocking or locking even with the key fob or inside the car with the unlock button. so now i have to use the key to turn the lock which is kinda annoying.

My cars automatic shifting is not smooth. some times it feels like someone is kicking the car forward.

my brakes are extremly squeaky and they looked rusted....

but anyways im not really concenered about the brakes cause thats kinda common and they will fix it.

But anyone have similiar problmes with the automatic shifting not being smooth. Or anyone have similar problems with the door locks??

Thanks

I thought the BMW trans was 6 speed - with Mercedes' being 7?

OP - which model E90 do you have?

First we don't have 7 speed.

Secondly brakes, creaking, sometimes not smooth shifting, noises coming from engine. If you search you will see there are many issues. For the most aprt they are small and do not take away from the vehicle.

As far as the auto tranny.. its is one of the best auto's out there in its class. there is a thread on here about C&D's BMW 3 Series automatic transmission. If you have a 335i, the jerkyness is most likely occuring because you probably didnt give the car enough time to warm up the oil.. usual this phase takes around 5-10 minutes untill it will be somewhat sufficient for smoother gear shifting at higher RPM's.

LOL, the transmission in the E9x automatic are 6 speed, not 7. And there is also issues with owning a manual...like worrying about clutch replacement.

Mine makes a loud mechanic sound when putting it into drive, also when I start to move it makes a clanking sound. I assume its just the drive train. Its still not as bad as my last BMW, I was kind of hoping a normal 3 series would be quiet and smooth, but like I had said around here all autos suck and my next BMW I am ordering a manual. (its sad that you need to order a BMW in a manual now days out of 60-80 cars all of them were auto when I went to buy mine and my sales guy told me they get about 2 manuals a month and they usually sell within a few days)

I have also in the past 2 weeks had my auto not shifting in time when in DS mode(auto not shifting myself) and hitting the rev limiter.

Almost 9k miles and it seems to get louder and rougher over time, but yet at random times it can be smooth and everything is normal. But I always get a clunk when moving from park to drive or drive to reverse or neutral to drive/reverse exct.

i think that clunk is normal. It usually louder when your parked on a hill and then switch to drive/reverse. i have the same thing, i never thought it was a problem.
