Just for reference, my last M3 which I got in 2010 brand new was a $825 payment tax included, the car was fully loaded with every option and I put "zero" down. When I say zero, I mean zero.
There are 2 options for a more affordable payment which is the "BMW" select program. It's actually more affordable than the lease. The catch is the balloon payment at the end but I never keep a car past 3 years anyway.
That's what I did with the last 2 cars, my M3 coupe and the current 335i vert. As long as the cars keep their value and are desirable in a strong economy it's a good deal. Just don't keep the car past the 4 years...
