I don't see the point. If the f80 m3 is as fast and powerful and lightweight as claimed - and we have no performance reviews yet - then what's the point? Why do I need to wait additional time, increase the base price 12-15%, for a level of performance that I'm supposedly only going to be happy with compared to the car that's coming out in a few months?
Seems kinda childish.
In addition, the perf. packs have been equally about a bit of power, some suspension tweaking (usually lower ride height and firmer ride), and some unique aero bits and maybe interior.
I don't care about the aero bits unless they clean up the exterior bumpers which are a bit overstyled, I doubt I'm going to want this thing to ride any lower/stiffer, and we're already at the limits of a RWD cars street driven traction capabilities....so more power is not nearly as appetizing.
That's my take.
