Yeah, it’s a tough call. They're probably right that you give up a little when mounting the radar receive behind the grill. With that said, detecting a cop within 2,500 feet versus 2,800 feet, for instance, just doesn’t matter to me. It reminds me of the endless Valentine1 versus 9500xi versus XYXY debates. Sure, the Valentine1 would often alert the soonest, BUT, the question should really be: “Did the detectors alert within an acceptable time to take action?” For me, that’s the key…
