No mods. I'm in the process of getting all the maintenance up to date. Around 132k kilometres. Does drink a bit of oil, have to top it off every 3k kms. Doesn't smoke or leak oil however.

Check all of the accessories on the belt. If the alternator is ok, then check the power steering pump and a/c compressor. I doubt it's the turbochargers...the whine sounds belt driven.
