That was primarily an issue on the E9x M3's. The recommendation to warm the car up (driving at low rpm's) until fully warmed up is excellent advice however. The irony is that, if everyone had done that in the E9x's, they most likely would never have a problem with the rod bearings.

Just as a habit, I always let me car warm up before hammering.
