My f80 hit the dyno and made 650whp, 600 torque, but it does really seem slow on the times but in races it demolishes everything I race. After a lot of searching throughout the forums guys are doing 7 seconds or less with just a basic tune and down pipe. How is this possible?
My car is definitely faster then it's old bm3 stage 2 tune, based on a few cars I couldn't beat but now pull lengths on them.
100-200 was 7.6sec
60-130 8.0sec
I'm using ecutek performance analyzer for results.
Crank hub
Mishimoto oil cooler
Wagner tuning charge cooler
Wagner tuning charge pipes
Active auto werk down pipe
Pure stage 2+ turbos
Custom ecutek RACEROM 4 maps
Custom DCT tune
BMC air filters

How're your tires?
|
They're not the best, but as far I'm aware, they are not slipping.

At a certain point that becomes your biggest challenge - as you know already. What are your tire specs?
|
Currently using continental
285/30 R20

Assuming that you don't have CCB and can go down to 18inch wheels, I suggest Toyo R888R with a 35 sidewall for roll racing - on this setup you can still use it for cruising and driving around. If you're using the tires exclusively for roll racing then head right to Mickey SS tires - you can see an improvement with the 305/35/18 setup but if you plan on adding more power then the 345/35/18 is available as well. Your rear fenders can handle a pair of Apex VS-5RS 18x11 pretty easily so if combined with Mickey SS 305/35 I think you'll be pleased with the results.

Good information. I guess I didn't realize how much wheel spin I actually had. Tested with traction control on and had spin in 6/7 gears at more than 200km/hr. So thank you
