If you’re using an ENET cable direct with an adapter make sure its an Apple “MFI Certified” one. Apple kills off adapters that it doesn’t certify so what worked at some point could stop working tomorrow. General rule of thumb, stick with what they sell at the Apple store for adapters.
Also turn off your bluetooth and wifi if using the cable as car’s CarPlay always steals the connection away from the ethernet to car.
