The S55 will be based on the N55 ("tuned" wasn't perhaps adequate). I don't know what you mean...or know?
I highly doubt BMW will put a V6 on any car they make, because they have never made a V6 and it will cost them more to start from scratch with a V6 than "tune" an existing engine.
