No, it's not. A value equation will never work out for the Porsche. But....is an $80k m3/m4 really worth $30k more than say a proper CPO $50k? Etc. etc.

Here's what I'll say on why I went Porsche:

A car doesn't cost it's price. It's an asset. It costs it's depreciation + repairs + any interest paid on a loan to purchase the asset.

I bought a nearly $80k used 997.1 turbo because I believe I can enjoy it for ~3 years or so and spend less than $15k on it across those areas.

I spent more than $15k on a brand new $60k m3 after 3 years.

So which is costing me more money? The m3 was certainly reliable and under warranty.

Anyway...
