I was thinking along that same line. The tuners will be beneficiaries of this. No need for a custom piece, either - just use the stock pre-Nov-2017 one. I'm sure that if the emissions equipment is important and really is in the way (rather than just leaving too little clearance for OEM acceptable tolerances) they'll figure out a place to relocate it, or they could just rip it off and code around it (except perhaps for you in the Republic of Kalifornia
).
