1) I answered this in
post #8. Pure and Kratos do not have larger wastegates. I don't know if Vargas alters the wastegate size.
2) it doesn't interfere with the turbo wastegates, the BOV is triggered by accelerator pedal position reduction.

When I am boosting and come off the throttle, I do hear intake sounds which I assume is trapped pre-throttle boost reversing through the turbo and out of the intakes.

If you are getting surge when letting off the throttle or even slightly lifting the throttle, then yes the BOV should help, it did in my case.
