It's a tough road ahead for wheel manufacturers in order to keep within the ballpark of stock weights.

Switched from the stock 19s to the 18s and I feel an enormous difference with the road noise, acceleration, and deceleration. The car brakes so much easier. The brakes have more of a bite, and the torque transfer is amazing.
Jesus, never knew 2lbs of rotational mass would do to a car's performance. I can imagine people buying those heavy wide wheels....or putting dubs on their M4....they must love the teeth grinding ride, cause I couldn't stand driving with the stock 19s.
