Just did it Friday. Software only on a '17 M4.
Only bitch is lost all my coding and now BimmerCode does NOT have control module modification for my head unit so can't code back in full screen dvd in motion. My kids love that.
Not sure why BimmerCode doesn't have this. Maybe the updated idrive software is just too new?
