Just FYI...you don't need to detach the steering wheel. Popping off the airbag literally takes a thin phillips head screwdriver and about 30 seconds. If you have a set or Torx wrenches, the buttons can be replaced in like 5 minutes. There a many youtube videos and even on this site detailing the process.
My point is, this is a VERY easy DIY
