Thanks for the thorough reply, gtsussex.

I'm sure most of us learned to drive without even ABS so it makes sense to try and enjoy the car without all these gadgets but then a M3 is nothing like those 80s/90s cars. It's just surprising to read on forums how people have set MDM in either M1 or M2 as if it is something used often.

Off to find a car park now...
