As the CAFE standards close in more and more cars/trucks will have small engines. Just look at the new aluminum ford with a 2.7. A smaller engine than the M3/4 in a full size pickup!

I also agree that whatever numbers it gets doing 55 (our interstates just went up to 70mph) is irrelevant to what people will actually do with the car most of the time.
why would i get an M3 that fits my family fine and not drive it everywhere? haha. its a perfect road trip car. also great for those little trips to the grocery store. take the long way home. forget the minivan.
