My '17 already had CarPlay enabled so i just paid for the full screen from bimmer-tech. This is the way it should of come from bmw.

Thanks for the clarification. Is the monthly subscription option active now? I remember reading the story on Jalopnik recently but I thought it was still "coming soon".
If one-time fee is still available from BMW, what's the price difference between that and Bimmertech's unlock carplay option?
