Check with your local dealer on the
exact price for a new battery. Perhaps there are other options out there.
I just checked on
Leebmann24.de and the price is now 1,300 euros for the Li-on battery. BMW part number:

As with all new(er) BMW's built since 2007... you
MUST code the battery to the car
AND register it in the car's ECU.
IF your battery is on it's way out... perhaps using a CTEK trickle charger to recondition your battery might save it. It's worth the $80 for one. Your dealer sells them as well as on Ebay, etc.
