I love that number. Yeah, BMW spent millions to develop a product for a 3% increase. But in fairness, 68.4% of all statistics are wrong.
BTW, there's a really easy way to test this 3%: with a quality Mic record your car inside and then outside. I've done it and they sound like completely different cars. Inside sounds, oddly, like a 4L V8 Audi to me. Outside sounds like a diesel shrimp boat. that's a hell of a 3%!
